Pilates is a form of exercise, developed by Joseph Pilates, which emphasizes the balanced developement of the body through core strength, flexibility, and awareness in order to support efficient graceful movement.
Pilates is one of the most popular exercise systems in the country. It seems that everyone is either doing pilates, or interested in starting a Pilates exercise program. Indeed one of the best things about Pilates is that it works so well for a wide range of people. Athletes and dancers love it, as do seniors, women rebounding following pregnancy, and people who are various stages of physical rehabilitation.
This 30 minutes DVD is titled Pilates for the Over 50’s and is designed to improve mobility and stretch the back and legs and whole body, flexibility is something that starts to disappear as we get older, if we don't keep on top of it and do something every day to maintain our flexibility.

These exercises may not mean much to you at the moment but Madeline will take you through them one at a time and explain the correct set up for each one.
